Dalibor Foretić, theatre critic
In assembling a new stage reality, the two young theatre artists may be on the trail of that stage miracle that Craig once called the "Übermarinette".
Zehra Kreho, theatre critic
The seemingly too big stage, it seems, was an advantage: Iva and Petar Mandić "filled" every crack of it with gold, warmth, energy...
Iva and Petar Mandić, who are the complete authors of both productions, create their own model of theatre in which the mask, movement and music are precisely shaped and interconnected. In this, it is almost indescribable how their work is reminiscent of true dramatic poetry.
"Maska i Pokret" is a model of theater where the mask has a magical essence, where movement is based on the technique of classical ballet and where music is part of the play.
With the status of independent artists, the couple Iva and Petar Mandić create their own theatre and create their own specific stage expression, based exclusively on masks, music and movement.
Marko KOVAČEVIĆ, dramaturg and theatre critic
Talks to Iva and Petar Mandić about being guests at the Sitges Festival and about the significant Cau Ferrat award that these young artists received for the play "Mme Leopoldie's Memoires" at the festival.
