O.M.G. “WE’VE CREATED A MONSTER” –
neo-decadence is taking over

ANCIENT SOAP AS A MERCHANDISE ITEM

At a certain moment, we added another symbol that should further reinforce the meaning of the term “neo-decadence” and the meaning of the play, which already for some time was called “Eine Antiques Soap Opera.” We found some cheap smelly old-fashioned soap which was used before for scrubbing floors and came up with the idea to wrap it up in luxury silk Japanese paper. This soap was being distributed to the audience during the break.

Now, every time before going on tours, we had, in addition to packing decor, costumes, and different props and things that were growing more and more – another extra “work” that often went on late into the night: to wrap and pack these soaps, because the whole packaging had to be produced manually.
